Infinity Health and Liaison Group are working together to bring a time-saving digital solution to NHS trusts needing to manage the current staff self-testing regimen required by NHS England from 23 November 2020.

NHS staff in England are required to self-test for the virus twice a week and report their results to their employing organisation, who in turn ensure any positive results are dealt with rapidly. All results are reported to Public Health England (PHE).

There are 1.2M full-time equivalent staff in the NHS, which amounts to 2.4M self-tests per week.

Make an immediate impact

Minimising the challenges presented by manual paper-based processes, and even online forms, is key to gaining effective real-time reporting and producing the reports required by Public Health England.

Learn how you can make an immediate impact on workforce planning, staff and patient safety, with a digital solution for the lateral flow testing process. Bruce Thew, Vanessa Forster, and Elliott Engers will present a solution with a robust approach, real-time reporting, and exceptional intelligence; producing the outputs that Public Health England (PHE) requires.

Several NHS trusts have committed to going live with the solution, which will launch this week.

A digital solution for NHS staff lateral flow testing

Infinity Health and Liaison Group have a digital solution ready for immediate roll-out that:

  • Automates daily reminders to every staff member required to self-test. Each reminder includes a unique link to a secure, largely pre-populated online form twice a week that is quick to complete and can be submitted with the touch of a button

  • Automatically provides instructions for any staff member submitting a “Positive” or “Invalid” test result

  • Allows organisations to track, analyse, and report on self-testing data - including reported and non-reported (missedtests) results - in real-time. The data can be split by role type, department, ward, gender, ethnicity, or any other data field and can be automatically exported to meet statutory PHE reporting requirements

  • Can be customised to support the roll-out of a future staff immunisation programme

  • Is secure - Infinity Health is an ISO/IEC 27001 certified company, publishes an NHS DSP Toolkit, and is regularly audited and assessed by third parties and customers

  • Requires no staff training

  • Does not require integration
